Now more than ever, our young people need support with their well-being and mental health. I offer a range of services for schools which includes working with students, pastoral teams and SENCo teams to deliver something I’m immensely proud of developing - the Lumen Approach to Coaching.
The feedback I've had from school staff has been incredible as students have been much more willing to attend my sessions as I am teaching them a skill rather than providing a counselling service.
The courses below are designed to give students a secure grounding in NLP which will provide increased resilience, communication skills and support mental health. It can be tailored for a number of different settings:
· On an individual basis - on average students attend 6 x 50 minute bespoke sessions
· Small group of 4-6 - pupils attend on average 8 x 50 minute sessions
· Classroom setting - a fixed course of 6 x 50 minute sessions
At the end of this page you can download a guide showing teens and tweens what to expect from Lumen Coaching Sessions

Giving school teams additional resources that they can deploy from within their support structure is hugely valuable. This course involves 3 full days of training delivered in 6 half-day sessions. The course looks at the theory of NLP and EFT (emotional freedom technique) and how they can be implemented.
I am hugely passionate about making permanent and positive change in the lives of our young people . They can often feel isolated and lack purpose . Working within a school setting has allowed me to create an alternative approach to well-being.
The Lumen Approach is a programme made up of three steps:
Step 1 - Students have approximately 6 individual sessions
Step 2 - Students move to a small group setting and attend 3 group sessions
Step 3 - Students move with their group to embark on a community project for between 3-6 weeks.
The fundamental aim of this approach is to provide students with the understanding and skills to make positive change in their lives. In a group setting they will see that they are not alone and they can continue to hone their skills and develop them with each other.
The final stage is the community project which can either be supported by local councils or businesses. It provides students the opportunity to learn new skills, feel empowered and provides a sense of purpose to create lasting change.
